There are a few generic steps that you'll need to follow to get into your MiFi/WiFi router. They are the same on all devices, although some of the detail might vary.

Step 1

Please ensure our SIM is inserted in the device.

Step 2

Connect to the router with another device, such as a phone, tablet or laptop.

To do this, open up the WiFi menu on the device, and you are looking for the router's name - this info is visible on the router info sticker, under SSID (or under Wireless Network Name).

You may need to enter the WiFi password - this info is also on the router info sticker, typically under WiFi Key/Password or Wireless Key/Password.

You do not need to have a connection to the internet to complete the following steps, but the device has to be connected to the router.

Step 3

Open up any web browser (i.e. Safari, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome) and, in the address bar along the top, enter the router login address. If you attempt this next step using a search engine, such as the Google app, it will not work.

The login address will be written on the router info sticker, under IP Address or Router Login. The address may be http://www. address, or it may be a sequence of numbers in the format 000.000.0.0 (for example, Netgears use 192.168.8.1)

Step 4

You should now be presented with a login page. The login info will be on the router info sticker, under "Username/User" and "Password/Admin Password".

Step 5

You'll want to navigate to the APN settings page. The location varies from router to router, however it is typically found in either the Connection Settings, Network Settings or Mobile Settings menus.

Step 6

Once on the Connection/Network/Mobile settings, first ensure that Data Roaming is turned on, then look for an option to Add an APN profile.

We have two APN profiles: one for IQ Go & SIM-only services, and one for our IQ Connect service. Make sure you use the correct APN profile depending on your service - any setting specified below can be left blank or left as the default setting:

IQ Go & IQ Mobile SIM-only Plans

APN - everywhere
Username - eesecure
Password - secure
Authentication - Chap or PAP
Roaming - On

IQ Connect

APN - globaldata

Step 7

Select the newly created APN profile once made, then save your changes

Step 8

Reboot the router.
